Team Mindcrafter Daily Update 12-20-13

It was a very fun week for Team Mindcrafter.  Today, students finished the day by rotating though all of the fourth grade classes and playing various holiday games.  Ask your child about it.

Mrs. Dressel and I would like to wish you and your family a very happy holiday.  We look forward to working with you and your child in 2014!

Social Studies.
Students' quiz results are posted here for you to review.  Mr. Kirwen or Mrs. Pokyrzwa's students are posted here.

Flubber.  As part of the students' gift from Mrs. Dressel and myself, each student received a baggie of "flubber."  The students wanted me to send the "recipe" for how to make this.  They should check their school e-mail for this.  A couple safety tips that I shared with the kids today regarding the flubber:
  • Do not eat the flubber
  • Don't let your  child play with it over the carpet or over fabric of any kind (ex. on a couch or in bed) as if it seeps into the fabric it won't come out.
  • Keep the flubber in a sealed baggie when not being used or it will dry out and seep into tiny cracks.
Reminders:
  • Need last minute Christmas ideas or stocking stuffers?  Many students need school supplies such as red marking pens, highlighters, pencils, eraser tops, etc...
  • Over the two week break, be sure your child continues to read a little each day.  We would love for all students to come back to school ready to take an AR test.

Have a great night,
Mrs. Dressel and Mr. Pransky
