Have a great holiday and we'll see you in 2016!

Parents,

First of all, thank you to everyone who donated items for the class party today.  I think the kids had a great time and enjoyed all of the delicious food and treats!

Mrs. Dressel and I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday.  We hope that over break you can spend lots of time with the ones you love and get at least a little rest and relaxation.

Over break, please remind your child to continue reading independently each day.  A reading log was sent home yesterday for your child to keep track of his/her reading over break.  This is not required, but can be turned in for extra class dojo points.  We are hoping that all students will come to school on January 4th ready to take an AR test (or two) over something they have read.

In Math after break we will be beginning "long division" so practicing basic facts over break would be really helpful for them, too.  Students have about a week after break to master multiplication to meet this quarter's Math goal.

As a party activity today, we played a fun Christmas Trivia Kahoot game.  The students asked me to share it.  It could be a fun game to play with the whole family.

See you in 2016!

Team Mindcrafters Daily Update 12-21-15

Parents,

Reading.  There is no goal for this week.  Students were given a reading log that starts today, and goes through the last day of break.  This is optional, and students can earn a dojo point(s) for completing.  This may help many students to reach 200% this quarter and earn the pizza party!

Tomorrow's Classroom Parties - Reminders for those who signed up to donate an item for Mr. Pransky's homeroom or Mrs. Dressel's homeroom.  Please send in donated items with your child in the morning, or to the office by 2:30.  Thanks!

Science test

Parents,

Your child took a Science test over Plant and Animal Adaptations on Friday.  On the whole the students did really well!  You can view your child's test results here or here for those that took it with Mrs. McNamara.

Any students who would like to retake the test to raise their grade may do this in study hall on Monday.

Parents,

Slime Shop - The 4th graders were busy selling their Santa Slime this week.  At this point, all students in the school have had the opportunity to buy slime.  However, we still have slime remaining, and will be selling before school while supplies last.  Each container costs $0.50, and they made red, green, and white slime.  We are hoping to sell everything so that we can raise as much money as possible for Zion Church to use to help families in need this Christmas.

Team Mindcraters Daily Update - 12-15-15

Parents,

Spelling.  This week's spelling list has 53 words!!!  They are the homophones we have been learning over the last 6 six weeks.  Students took a pretest today, and most did very well.  The words themselves aren't that tough, it's knowing when to use each.

Classroom Parties.  Still have a few items that are needed.  Click on the link for Mr. Pransky's homeroom or Mrs. Dressel's homeroom.

Team Mindcrafters Daily Update 12-11-15

What an exciting day of learning we had today!

I'm sure one the highlights of your child's day was being able to see a presentation by Frogtown Exotics.  This was really awesome!  Students learned about adaptations of reptiles and amphibians by listening to a presentation in the cafeteria, and then had some hands-on time with the animals in their classrooms, too.  I know Mrs. Dressel shared some pictures in Class Dojo that she took today.  I took pictures too, but there were so many I decided to post them to the class website instead.  If you'd like to view those pictures, follow the link below:

Classroom Parties.  It looks like both classrooms have a few donation slots left to fill.   If you would like to sign up to donate an item for our upcoming winter party, click on the link for Mr. Pransky's homeroom or Mrs. Dressel's homeroom.
