Team Mindcrafters Daily Update 10-14=15

Parents,

Lemonade War.  We started our novel today!  Students have learned how to be an "active reader" and use mini-post its to note some of their common thoughts while reading.  These post-its are used to guide discussion later.  After we finish reading this novel, students will be encouraged to continue this practice by selecting books from our Readbox, and reading with friends.  This is similar to book clubs and literature circles.  Ask your child what he/she did with the post-its after reading the assigned chapter tonight.
