Parents,
READING - We are spending the week on poetry and figurative language. Students thought they didn't enjoy poetry very often, until we connected music as a form of poetry that is put to music. I encourage students to listen for examples of figurative language in song lyrics. We began looking at how similes and metaphors are used in some popular songs.
MIDTERMS - We are half way through the second quarter. If there are any major academic concerns, you will receive information from us. Otherwise, we believe in communicating with you when needed, at ANY time during the school year!
